Classification in category I

The Cap d’Ail information office of the Tourist Office

Métropolitain Nice Côte d’Azur is classified category 1 and undertakes to:

  • Provide you with an easily accessible reception area and information area

  • Facilitate your procedures

  • Offer you furniture to sit on

  • Inform you free of charge about the local tourist offer

  • Display and disseminate its opening periods expressed in at least two foreign languages

  • Offer you on-demand Internet access to access tourist information

  • Be open at least 305 days a year, Saturday and Sunday included during tourist or entertainment periods

  • Respond to your emails all year round

  • Provide a permanent reception service run by staff speaking at least two foreign languages

Tourism and Handicap Label

This label was obtained on September 28, 2012 by the Cap d’Ail Tourist Office for the four types of disability: motor, mental, auditory, visual.

Arrangements have been made to accommodate all disabled visitors in the best conditions: bell at the front door, purchase of a magnetic loop, “Handi Cap d’Ail” area where all the documentation is presented. big character, production of brochures in Braille, adapted and easily identifiable displays, adapted touch screen terminal, reception desk reduced to 60cm, widened sidewalks around the tourist office …

Classified Tourist Resort

The objectives of this classification are to facilitate frequentation of the resort, to allow its development through equipment and maintenance work relating, in particular, to the conservation of monuments and sites and to sanitation, to embellish or improve the conditions of access, stay or movement. For these purposes, the city:

  • Offers tourist accommodation of various kinds and categories

  • Offers cultural creations and activities, facilitates physical and sporting activities using and respecting their heritage, natural or built resources as well as, where applicable, those of the surrounding territory, for all audiences and during tourist periods, and in particular highlights professional know-how of a traditional, historical, gastronomic or regional character

  • Offers all categories of tourists local shops and healthcare facilities, particularly suited to tourist activities practiced, either in the town or not far away

  • Has an urban planning document and a collective and non-collective sanitation zoning plan, and undertakes to implement actions in the area of the environment, embellishment of the living environment, conservation of sites and monuments, public hygiene, sanitation and waste treatment

  • Organizes information, in several languages, for tourists on the activities and facilities offered, as well as on places of tourist interest in the municipality and its surroundings, and provides them with access to this information

  • Facilitates access to the town and movement within it for all audiences by improving infrastructure and the transport offer, ensures the maintenance and safety of equipment, the establishment of ” appropriate signage of the tourist office and the main places of tourist interest

Active and Sports City

Cap d’Ail, a city that loves sport! In 2019, Cap d’Ail surpassed itself by obtaining the level 3 “Active & Sporting City” label.

This award underlines the investment and efforts of the City to facilitate the practice of physical and sports activities on a daily basis, by all audiences. This label is also the result of a joint involvement between the town hall, associations, clubs, licensees, volunteers and all partners, public or private.

The municipality works to make sport accessible to as many people as possible and regularly collaborates with its associative fabric. For this, it offers various actions in favor of the disabled, the traditional “sports festival” bringing together residents and local sports associations, intergenerational physical and sports activities, or even for tourists during the summer period.

One objective: to place sport at the heart of the daily life of the inhabitants!

Cap d’Ail offers a real sporting offer with the interventions of the ETAPS of the municipality for all audiences.

Among them, we can cite the baby gym at the municipal crèche, the EPS intervention at school, sports activities at the leisure center, the intergenerational day, or even hikes with seniors organized with the Communal Center of ‘Social Action. Didier Deschamps football stadium, Cap d’Ail tennis club, Guillaume Apollinaire complex, multipurpose rooms, beach volleyball and pétanque courts …

The city has sports facilities that can accommodate all audiences, whether school and extracurricular, teenagers, seniors, people with reduced mobility, associations and amateur or competition clubs.

In order to share the emotions linked to sport, Cap d’Ail finally offers many festive events around sport: Triathlon, international junior tennis and 3×3 basketball tournaments, the course of the Sun (the oldest French road race) are the most known.

A way of highlighting every day the values ​​conveyed by the sport and the performances of the Cap d’Aillois, whether they are volunteers, athletes or simple amateurs!

Handiplage

Labeled Handiplage since 2015, Marquet beach is accessible to people with reduced mobility every day, from 10:40 a.m. to 6 p.m., during the months of July and August.
